Here we have an truly top tier Aluminium Racing bike inbasically perfect condition. This is the 2024 model which was bought for thepurpose of completing the Carten 100 Road ride, the stock wheelset (pretty muchthe only complaint in the reivews) were instantly swopped over to a brand newset of Bontrager Aeolus Elite 35mm Carbon wheels at a cost of £800 and then thebike was basically never ridden, it is brand new throughout and utterlystunning!!!
This is about as top end as an Aluminium bike can get, ithas carbon forks and carbon seatpost as standard. The groupset set is the verylatest SRAM Rival AXS Electronic Wireless 24 speed groupset which has just hadthe very latest firmware updated.
An Aluminium frame is a fair bit safer than Carbon, it canhandle the odd side dink, handlebar bar twist into the frame or even bikeservice rack pinch without issue, plenty of people prefer it to Carbon and thisis about as good as they get!
The bike is totally mint, not a single mark on it, it isstunning!
The new owner will be getting a brand new bike, £4550 worthfor pretty much a 3rd of the cost new, bargain!!
The whole bike weighs on 8.9kg for the full build which islighter than most high end Carbon bikes with Disc brakes, this is an amazingmachine!

Similar to the SLRcarbon road bikes, the aluminium frame of the ALR has beendeveloped specifically to provide a curated blend of compliance and speed usingsize-specific butted tubing so that every ride benefits from the sameexperience. This means that tiring vibrations from the road are reduced withoutdiminishing the drivetrain’s responsiveness and efficiency, allowing the biketo be ridden quickly in comfort all day. The fork is made from ACE carbon toreduce weight, improve handling and further add to the front end’s compliancewhilst the D-shaped carbon seatpost helps at the rear.
Effortless and electronic, SRAM’s Rival eTap AXS groupsetprovides perfect shifts with just a light press of the lever. The system isfully wireless so there are no cables to stretch or become dirty thereforeevery shift is as good as the first and very little maintenance is required.Connection to a compatible GPS device via Bluetooth allows battery levels andgear selections to be shown, and SRAM’s AXS smartphone app gives the potentialto customise certain shifting functions. X-Range gearing uses smallerchainrings in conjunction with a 10 tooth rear sprocket to give a wide range ofgears, but makes it easier to maintain optimal cadence by reducing the jumpsbetween ratios.
BMC’s own-brand XR-522 wheels are tubeless-ready, so can be setup to benefit from lower rolling resistance, more grip and comfort, and fewerpunctures. Furthermore, at just 25mm deep handling will always be assured andconfidence-inspiring whatever the weather and wind direction.
